Terms of Service

Last updated 14 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and JawabAIfor your use of Jawab. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and "you" means the business.

Who we are

Jawab is operated by JawabAI, based in Egypt. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "Jawab", they mean JawabAI. You can reach us using the details at the end of this page.

The service

Jawab connects an AI assistant to your Instagram and Facebook accounts so it can answer customer messages in Arabic and English using the knowledge base, product catalog and tone settings you configure. It also gives you a shared inbox, analytics, and controls for escalating a conversation to a human.

We improve the service over time and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you rely on materially, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

Your account

You need an account to use Jawab, and you must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. You agree to give accurate registration details and keep them current.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access.

A Jawab workspace is scoped to a brand. You are responsible for who you invite into it and what they can see, which includes your customers' conversations.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Jawab to:

  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or any message that breaks the messaging rules of the platform it is sent on.
  • Break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or sell goods or services you are not permitted to sell.
  • Mislead customers about who they are dealing with, or about the nature, price or availability of what you sell.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use, or personal data you have no lawful basis to process.
  • Attempt to breach, probe, overload or reverse engineer the service, or access another brand's data.
  • Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.

You are responsible for the messages your brand sends through Jawab, including the ones the assistant sends on your behalf, and for holding any consent the law requires for messaging your customers.

Connected platforms

Jawab works by connecting to accounts you hold elsewhere, such as Instagram, Facebook and Shopify. Your use of those platforms stays governed by their own terms, and you must keep to them. Messaging rules set by those platforms — including the window during which a business may reply to a customer — apply to everything Jawab sends for you.

Those platforms control their APIs. If one changes its rules, limits our access or suspends your account on its side, parts of Jawab may stop working through no fault of ours. We are not liable for a third-party platform's decisions, outages or changes, though we will work to restore service where we can.

AI replies

Jawab generates replies automatically using AI. AI systems can be wrong. A reply may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for the customer who receives it, even when your knowledge base is correct.

You decide whether the assistant is live and what it is allowed to say. Replies are scored for confidence and low-confidence conversations are routed to you for a human answer, but this is a safeguard, not a guarantee. We recommend you monitor your inbox and keep your knowledge base accurate.

Messages the assistant sends are sent as your brand and are your responsibility. Do not use Jawab, unsupervised, for advice where a wrong answer causes serious harm — for example medical, legal or financial advice.

Your content

Your knowledge base, product data, brand settings and conversation history remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

You grant us the licence we need to run the service: to store, process, and transmit your content, to send it to the AI and infrastructure providers described in our Privacy Policy, and to generate replies from it. That licence exists only to operate and improve the service for you, and it ends when you delete the content or close your account.

The Jawab software, brand and interface remain ours. These terms do not transfer any of it to you.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for the billing period and renew automatically until you cancel. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI replies; once it is used up, new conversations are routed to your inbox for a human reply instead.

Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details. Prices may change, and we will give you notice before a change affects a renewal.

Fees are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future charges and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. The details are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Availability

We work to keep Jawab available and reliable, but we do not promise a particular level of uptime. The service is provided as is. Maintenance, incidents, and failures at the platforms and providers we depend on can all interrupt it.

To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated here — in particular, we do not warrant that the assistant will answer any given message correctly, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Jawab at any time and can cancel or delete your account from your dashboard. Deleting an account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your use puts the service, another brand, or a connected platform at risk, if payment fails, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Suspension for breach does not entitle you to a refund. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content ownership, liability, and governing law among them — continue to apply afterwards.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost or corrupted data, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including from an incorrect or missing AI reply.

Our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service and the law change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

For changes that materially affect your rights, we will notify merchants by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Jawab after that point means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you can cancel.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction over them.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of any mandatory law of the country where you live.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
